Everyday life of school

 

Everyday Energy Patrol controlled temperature and light intensity  in classrooms and collected all data related to energy use. This task was easy but it helped us to understand our responsibility for the planet, climate change and our influence on the Earth future.

We realized that future generations will be affected by our energetic actions or lack of them. Now we know how to use new rules in everyday life and how to change our behavior at school, but also at home.

Activities

 

All school community took part in the project. Every student and teacher had some influence on great success. Lots of poems and posters were created by children and parents in order to increase awareness of environmental problems and renewable  energy sources. Climate protection was very important theme on lessons of biology and geography.  

We prepared systematically wall newspapers related to the environment protection and energy and water use. Not only some drawings and paintings were made but also rhymes and slogans related to energy saving and the protection of the environment were invented

Euronet 50/50

One of the basic aims of school concerning EURONET 50/50 project is promotion of energy saving actions among citizens of Cieszyn. Children aware of environment threats can easily convince parents to become more eco friendly. 

 

The competition on „Ideas how to save energy” was announced. Children who took part had to create PowerPoint presentation with the best ideas. We found information on saving energy in everyday life: in the kitchen, bathroom, living room. Core rules of energy efficiency which are easy to implement have become basic reaction of all students and teachers.
